| DESCRIPTION |
| | FORDAMAGE Belgian Tango Label : Kythibong Records Year : 2008 Format : CD Style : Rock Availability : Out of stock
| | | | | Description : | Fordamage, rock quartet based in Nantes, France, since 2005, is composed of Amelie Grosselin, Vincent Dupas, Anthony Fleury and Pierre Marolleau. In 2006, they put out their first s/t album recorded by Miguel Constantino, on Kythibong Records. This first short and brutal work is marked by the urgency and eagerness to make direct and energetic music that is on par with their live shows- the first of which lasted all of 15 minutes.
In 2008, they are equally as effective and the band is taking more time to write, resulting in a sound more rhythmic, complex, and melodic while just as intense, edgy/grating/aggressive/abrasive, and heavy as ever. They have added a hint of African rhythms to their American indie-rock influences that is sure to be appreciated by fans of 'coupé décalé'. As it was in the very beginning, the stage remains a veritable reservoir for their overflow and above all an ideal orientation for the band. This second album was recorded live in August 2008.
