| Description : | If the roots of It It Anita are anchored in the noise of the 90s, the band from Liège transcends the categories with a powerful and sincere sound. Acoustic guitar and rhythm guitars are on the program of uncompromising stage performances where mix tension and relaxation, where raw energy and subtlety dispute. After a first record on the label Honest House, Jason Sebastian Russo (Mercury Rev), IIAA entered the studio with John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Kurt Vile, Dinosaur Jr, Thurston Moore). The result of this collaboration, 'Recorded by John Agnello' (2015), received rave reviews positioning the band as a major player in the Belgian rock scene. The many concerts that followed the release of RBJA ended up establishing the reputation of stage group It It Anita: Pukkelpop and Dour 2015, the Guess Who (Utrecht) or Eurosonic (Groningen). Lately, the quartet has stormed the scenes of the Spring of Bourges and The Great Escape (Brighton) leaving public and critics without voice (nor eardrum). In early 2016, the group flew to New York to record its third effort, again with John Agnello. | |
