| Description : | NEW SERIES FRAMEWORK is an extension of our CONCRETE ELECTRONICS NOISE, a brand new mix-up of unusual conceptions of sound material by young unknown composers, well known not-so-young composers and old but clever composers. Limited editions Berangere Maximin was born on the remote French colonial island of Reunion in the Indian Ocean and moved to France at the age of fifteen. Performing first as a singer, she later studied electroacoustic music with the composer Denis Dufour at the Perpignan Conservatoire. Her first professional experiences occurred in Paris, and in 2002 she moved there permanently. From 2002 to 2007, whilst running the organisations Motus (concerts production and label, Paris) and Futura (International festival of Acousmatic Art, Crest, France) as the assistant of Denis Dufour, she started to work as an independent composer (collective concerts and audiovisual installations). She is most interested in preserving the spirit of live music in the studio, a passion passed on to her from her friends - guitarists and singers in rock and world music bands. Working out of her own Hpme Sweet Home studio, she shoots sounds in a dark and silent room, records soundscapes and acoustic sounds, plays with samplings, digital effects, performs on a variety of objects and sings. Her attraction to light and powerful sounds gives her work a very unique quality.
