| Description : | For many, math rock had its golden age in the 90s and was lost in the complex labyrinths it had set up as a paradigm of the future of guitar music. Mnemotechnic does the opposite. Gathered by their passion for the distortion and spontaneous energy of At The Drive In, Refused or Nirvana, the band - trained in 2009 - seduce first with a first album. After many concerts, the group agrees a hiatus and takes the time to disassemble its toys to create a new language, more complex but just as powerful. Based on a proven science of rhythmic work that emphasizes the physical and hypnotic impact on technical demonstration, Mnemotechnic also excels in its melodic approach, which draws noise-rock, kraut and indus Impressive climaxes. It is in this that the French group invents a modernity, sometimes theatrical, sometimes deliberately wobbly that marches in the footsteps of glorious elders (31 Knots, The Jesus Lizard, Health ...). It is this strong evolution that restores the listening of 'Weapons', to be released on 20 January.
