DESCRIPTION |
| | PLASMA EXPANDER Kimidanzeigen Label : Wallace Records Year : 2009 Format : LP+CD Style : Rock Availability : Out of stock
| | | | Description : | Plasma Expander born in winter 2004 when Fabio Cerina (Bron-Y-Aur), Stefano Podda (Takoma) and Andrea Siddu (Flying Sebadas) gather in a garage in Cagliari to play what they love, without any predetermined plans. The result was an inspiring free rock, with influences both from 70's and 90's - krautrock, blues and post-rock being the stars that indicate the route. Since the beginning Plasma's music balanced itself between improvisation and groove, noise and melody. After one year of sessions many songs were ready and the trio decided to put their efforts on cd, recorded with Simon Balestrazzi and Mattia Coletti. Plasma Expander, the self penned album, was released in January 2007 as a joint effort between Here I Stay and Wallace Records and it was very well welcomed by audience and critics. Meanwhile, Stefano moved to London and the band had to find a new stability with Marcello Pisanu (Golfclvb) on baritone guitar. With the new formation Plasma Expander start carrying around a stormy live-set always cheered in the island so in the peninsula. The audience -though being seriously threatened by their volumes– couldn't help dancing and moving along with the infectious guitar riffs and drum grooves that became Plasma's trademark. Now here is the second Plasma Expander, Kimidanzeigen, out on CD and LP in collaboration with 8 labels (Here I Stay, Wallace, Bar La Muerte, Bloody Sound, Valvolare, Burp, Trasponsonic, Brigadisco). The new album was recorded at NHQ Sardinia and mixed by producer Enrico Rocca, August 2009.
