| Description : | The melancholy ballads of The Lonesome Southern Comfort Company awaken pleasant memories of stories told around the campfire and toasted marshmallows. The voice distilled and seasoned in oak casks like some country bourbon, relate a series of precise historical events from the past century. Their musical scenery is fairly sober, the sounds mostly acoustic, punctuated by banjos, harmonicas and violins. Certain numbers, however, hint at horizons with more sophisticated vistas. The drums, with their slow tempo, accompany the blues like a faithful steed on heavy hooves, raising a cloud of dust at each step. | |
