| DESCRIPTION |
| | V/A Floating foundations 2 (toop/rimbaud/von hausswolff) Label : Sub Rosa Year : 2002 Format : CD Style : Electronic / Experimental Availability : In stock
Price : 13.50 € - BUY
| | | | | Description : | This second volume marks a continuity and a change - a continuity because, like the first volume, 5 musicians wrote a 10 minutes electronic pieces exclusively for the project. And a change because, this second attempt is more varied and explores other domains. The approach of Mark Clifford (ex-Seefeel), for exemple, amends the deal - it's more immediate, less meditative. iIt was good to work with him again. We had already collaborated with his first band - seefeel (highly underestimated in our point of view). Ddavid Toop gives us a brand new piece too featuring electronics and guitars (a good choice after his full-length CD '37th floor at sunset' SR163). Happy too to meet again Robin Rimbaud (after many collaborations and 3 full-length CDs since 1995). First outing and first success for Hard Spleeper aka our designer Peter Maybury (who just completed the design for 'our electronic anthologies). A fine conclusive piece by CM von Hausswolff (first collaboration after his 'Rays of Beauty', SR88).
All in all, the whole is more like a strong energy (the beginning) that, little by little, turn into a deep and intelligent drone.
