API UIZ Esthétique de la Fin

Description

The shirtless Frenchman stamps helplessly back and forth, body in spasm, as if electrocuted by his guitar. Or, given his insouciantly determined expression and the control in the crazily frenetic playing, perhaps he's electrocuting it. Accompanied by equally fleet/punishingly loud bass and drums on the back room’s shop floor, Api Uiz are utterly magnificent: a demonic rocked-out, funked-up, jazz-slaying skronk of Beefheart complexity, Motörhead volume and Abba accessibility; 50 years of music history distilled and played back at x100 speed.
