| Description : | Le Coup du Parapluie, an alternative rock & cinematic belgian band, was born in 2007 with Regis Michaux (vocals/guitars), Niko Khapth (drums) and Ludovic Houbion (hybrid 'fender baritone custom'). A few months later, Niko leaves the band and is replaced by Olivier Dreze.
In 2008, the trio records its first EP, 'the Mac Guffin', produced by the band himself. At the end of the year, Le Coup du Parapluie gives its first show for the release party of 'Amadeus archives' from The Guilty Brothers Experience. End 2009, the trio records its first full-length album 'Philosophie, bien-être et crimes passionnels' in Brussels. Le Coup du Parapluie is a drums / bass / guitar trio with a few analog filters (and video projections for live), tense atmospheres, some strange sounds from old sci-fi movies and a rock mind to develop a dark film score which doesn't exit or maybe, a melody of your schizophrenic thoughts. | |
