| Description : | MoE join forces with the relentless and outstanding saxophonist Mette Rasmussen. Together they will open up what rock and free jazz never has been before.
Since their debut at Jazzfest in Trondheim, May 2018, MoE and Rasmussen quickly realized they needed to make more music together, a lot more… By now they've already recorded their first album and toured Mexico together. MoE and Rasmussen belive in action and creating. Creating new music, new meetings and bringing people together. Their set quickly developed to a very personal mixture of the four individual voices of this group. Over the years MoE has grown to become one of Europe's leading live bands. With concerts in more than 25 countries on four continents, the band earned their reputation the good old fashioned way, and is a must see live act. MoE has collaborated with musicians from all over the globe, and is always working to find ways were rock music never went, navigating with music as their only guide. MoE is more than a rock band. Rasmussen tours continuously around the world with bands like Cocaine Piss, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, as a solo act, with musicians like Alan Silva, Chris Corsano or her own quintet. Rasmussen works on exploring the natural rawness of her instrument – experimenting on what the saxophone is capable of in sound and expression, and assert her own individual sound in piercingly high tones and controlled outbursts of free playing. | |
