| Description : | Welcome to a post-modern colorama where Black Flag does the score of an epic action movie. A neverending quest where Italian plumbers go on a rampage against Piggy eared archers, protecting princesses blonder than Lana Del Rey in their pixelated dungeon. Seal Of Quality is the project of Nicolas Cueille, a french geek who is too punk to accept playing by the un-rooted codes of an easy chiptune. Too high-jacked in a nintendoid-like fantasy to pour you that same old rancid sock juice your everyday mohawk melted in. After a fair amount of self-produced records and collaborations (even with some English lads, which says loads about the tolerance of this man regarding fluorescent and processed food - although he feeds only on LR6 batteries), here comes 'Life Hacks', his most advanced work yet. Here he is resuscitated, cheats the machine and the makers of his own universe while stealing from them their unlimited life. He fights against atrocities such as bad weather, composed measures, parental authority and tons of bosses seized from the most intense nightmares of all old school RPG. Indeed, all of this is happening in the agile head of this whiz-kid. Imagine Andrew WK armed with a laser-phallus, slaying mutant robots while partnering up with Devo, Polysics, Weezer and Sekiryo Yamauchi... and yet, you are far from the madness of these 7 tracks coded in a pal-secam cartridge from the future. | |
