Nebulosity is the fourth release by Space Aliens From Outer Space, the first release of their newest formation which now includes a silver alien on drums. An out of this world flow which gets taken in all at once, eight tracks that evolve naturally into a succession of intergalactic sounds, humanized by the newly introduced analog percussion. Nebulosity opens with the recognizable sounds of the band: Asterism, Trajectory, Entanglement and Propulsion are an amalgamation of synthesizers and vocoder which dialogue which a sci-fi John Carpenter or an alien Ziggy Stardust and depict the world we glimpsed previously on the 2015 EP Abduction. But it is Trajectory that sets the new course for this journey and which takes into new territory: with Into The Nebula the fragmented rhythm changes our perception, we move into a new dimension where we meet new creatures, from exotic distances yet still inter-spacial, new worlds in Outer Realms. Reduced to molecules, we cross an endless dimension, Particle Horizon is the way back to the planet of Trinia with Starchaser. The title of this last track is a nod to the animated cult film of 1985 about a battle between Orin and the tyrannical Zygon, the daily battle which humankind faces. | |
