| Description : | Founded in Paris in 2007, The Kandinsky Effect is a post-modern jazz trio, searching for new ways to work within the jazz idiom by blending the borders of jazz, rock, electronica, hip-hop and experimental sounds. They are an accessible, modern jazz group featuring sax, bass, drums and laptops / electronics; jazz made for young listeners who are rock or alternative music fans. Since releasing their Cuneiform debut, Synesthesia, in 2013, The Kandinsky Effect has expanded their audience with multiple tours, including trips to Europe, Canada, Asia, and several tours throughout the United States. The band's new, third album, Somnambulist, is the product of rehearsing and writing new material while on the road. It was recorded just south of Paris, France, in May, 2014 and brought back to New York for post-production and mixing. The trio is hitting the road across the USA and Europe for extended touring dates to support the album in March - June. | |
