sensory deprivation chamber of boundary-busting blues, spaghetti-strung grooves, and tangled psychedelic roots music. Mixing the American Vesta pol finger-picking guitar style of the 1850s with the space-age sound of synthesizer and theremin -along with a tasty dash of junk percussion- 'Evening Dressings' comes to a boil in a down-home, gamma-radiated stew.
Tijuana Hercules is the brainchild of singer I songwriter I guitarist John Vernon Forbes of Mount Shasta, one of the pioneering acts of SKiN GRAFT Records. Their latest releases are a pair of collections that highlight the band's diversity: Bloodshot Records' Six Pack to Go 7-inch singles compilation (alongside Deer Tick, Elizabeth Cook, Kelly Hogan, and Guided by Voices' Robert Pollard) and SKiN GRAFT's Chicago VS New York compilation featuring The Flying Luttenbachers, Cheer-Accident, Bobby Conn and Child Abuse).
