DESCRIPTION |
| | WAYNE B Night of the hunter Label : Quatermass Year : 2005 Format : CD Style : Pop Rock Availability : Out of stock
| | | | Description : | A former member of the post-rock ensemble Calla, Wayne B. Magruder released this intriguing solo album in 2005. Magruder has created a relaxed, gauzy, atmospheric album in NIGHT OF THE HUNTER (a mood reflected perfectly in the hazy, black-and-white photographs in the CD's booklet) by combining acoustic elements with highly textured electronica. He also enlists the help of two vocalists (Jana Plewa and Daphne Gannon), both of whom bring an ethereal, loungy vibe to the proceedings that recalls the sound of acts like Massive Attack and Portishead. Wayne B. Magruder is one part of Calla. Night Of The Hunter is his first solo project under his own name. Guest vocals by Jana Plewa and Daphne Gannon. 10 tracks. Quatermass. 2005. Personnel: Wayne B (guitar); Jana Plewa, Daphne Gannon (vocals). Recording information: Austin, TX (2003-2005); Brooklyn, NY (2003-2005).
