| Description : Dario Dassenno (drums), Francesco D'Abbraccio (synth/guitar) and Giovanni Ferliga (guitar, synth) create the instrumental trio AUCAN. After 2 years of isolation and costant practice, they focuse their own energies in the realization of the debut album, coming out in September for Afticantape and Ruminance. A crossroad between styles and sounds, AUCAN's music is based on a unique energy: the synthesis of opposites. Cleanliness and distortion, melody and dissonance, quietness and strongness arm free-fall structures, open to direct light, leave the listener inside obscurity. Gifted of an hammering rhythmical compactness, and of a deadly technical awareness, the band's obsessive combinations contain nonetheless an emotive tissue set on crooked raods long time ago, incarnate the need to yell out, to get lost in order to discover yourself. | |
